Harper watches the carnage with wide eyes, only seeming to breathe again once it’s finished.
“I think we’ve seen enough for now, lots of deadly stuff on this planet apparently. Since that’s probably the case, I think we should head a tiny bit deeper, to see if we can find anything else”
The shark-like creature fascinates him enough for him to give it a name of his own devising. “Bul-Shark” seems like a fitting enough name, even if it’s just the words “Bulwark” and “Shark” slapped together. Though it completely lacks any sort of proper scientific nomenclature, he thinks it describes the creature well.
With all these new things they’ve discovered on Canto alone, and with many more similar discoveries undoubtedly need their way, he decides that now would be the perfect time to start a journal of sorts. A place where he can record his own personal notes and thoughts about what he encounters, instead of bogging down an official report with them. He decides to give it a cheeky name as well, choosing to entitle it: Exploration Impression Documentation; A Pathfinder’s Log.
He starts off with the Octoceratops, describing it’s territorial and predator oak tendencies, as well as a basic description and notes on how to approach and track it.
Next up is the species of hummingbird-ish creatures also found on Thea, one of which he’d captured. He notes it’s vibrant colours, possibly denoting a venomous nature or a type of camouflage, and it’s fast moving wings, presumably used to hover. He also leaves a simple way to capture one, commenting on it’s preference for berries. A cute name is in order, and he settles on “Buzz-Mouse” to describe their appearance and the sound of their wings.
